Daily Devotion – Deadstock

Life In Christ, More Than Just For Kicks

Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness. Isaiah 1:27 NLT

Trade a significant sum gladly.

If you’re unfamiliar, let me back up for just a moment. Deadstock refers to sneakers that are no longer being produced by a manufacturer, however, can be found somewhere by a private seller or secondary retailer in new, unworn condition. Depending on the model, size, and color, the shoes can easily cost in the thousands of dollars.

Many of the shoes may have had mild demand when originally released, however now that there is a scarcity of unworn versions, the price increase can become outrageous for some and a necessary evil to others.

And when someone procures a pair of coveted dead-stock, they may never even wear the shoe. They simply appreciate everything about it and desire to celebrate the artisanal quality of them.

Our sins are forgiven due to the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He sees us as a quality person, worthy of keeping and giving a new opportunity to live righteously. All our transgressions included.

When someone put us up for adoption, He wanted us. Recently slipped back into an addiction to alcohol? He sees a beautiful life. Family or friends aren’t in a place to forgive you for all the hurt you may have put them through, the Son of a Carpenter has a place in His Kingdom for you.

There will never be another you created, though you can be made new again via the blood. And whether you are or aren’t appreciated by those around you while you’re here or when you’re gone, there is One who knew you were worth dying for.

That’s how you become eternally rare, restocked, and restored.
